Garlic Walnut Sauce

(Gluten-free, Gout-friendly)


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup walnuts

  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, loosely packed

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 1 tablespoon walnut or olive oil

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons hot water

  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese


Directions

Put ingredients in a blender or small food processor. Puree about 30 seconds on high. Add water to desired consistency. Serve as a sauce for meat, fish, fowl, or pasta. You can also use it as a spread for crackers or bread.


Makes 1/2 cup

Each tablespoon serving contains about 48 calories, 1 g protein, 7 g fat, 1 g carbohydrates, 1 g fiber, and 14 mg sodium.
