Si tiene alergias, puede que note que sus ojos o sus labios se hinchan o se inflaman. Esa es una afección conocida como angioedema. El angioedema es una inflamación de las capas profundas de la piel y las membranas mucosas. Es como la urticaria, síntoma asociado frecuente, pero el angioedema no causa picazón en la piel, la urticaria provoca picazón. La inflamación que causa el angioedema se debe a vasos sanguíneos que tienen pérdidas. Una parte de la sangre llamada plasma se filtra dentro del tejido que está debajo de la piel y membranas mucosas. Por eso estos tejidos se inflaman.
